About Me

Hi! I am Amanda Paige Watson, a current Senior at The University of South Carolina studying Advertising and Graphic Design. Though, I’m originally from North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Ever since a young age I have had a passion for photography and storytelling which has evolved into my goal of becoming an Art Director. Since I was roughly 10 years old, I have had a camera in my hand. The element of capturing something beautiful that can stay with you forever intrigued me. Especially when that beautiful element is something that others would not always consider beautiful right away. Along with that, I have been writing short stories since I was in 3rd grade. I even had one of my stories be published in the newspaper in 4th grade. As a 10 year old, I thought I was pretty cool for this and to be honest, I still brag about it! The name of this spectacular story was “The Koala Bear Rescue” and I still have it on my shelf in my room today.

In my 22 years of life, I have had the opportunity to travel to many unique places such as Tanzania, Galapagos, Belize and Alaska. My travels not only provided me with amazing photographic opportunities, but also taught me to be fearless, never take anything for granted, and value the world we live in. Life is too short to be afraid of what other people think about you and think negatively upon the world.

Now, while I do love all things creative, there is a lot more to me. I particularly love to try new things, especially things that terrify me. Several years ago I went skydiving at 14,000 feet and it was the most thrilling moment of my life. Now, my next thrilling activity I plan to do is go diving with sharks. Weight lifting is a big passion of mine because it provides me with a constant challenge and goal to keep getting stronger. I have a slightly concerning addiction to caffeine whether it is in the form of coffee or energy drinks. I also love to cook, even though I am not the greatest at it. I am a HUGE animal lover and already have all of my future pet breeds and names picked out. And lastly, I will always say yes to dinner and drinks, even if my bank account says no.
